Street Team

Street Team (ST) is our projects to build the compatibility between scholarship, activism and civic engagement. Mainly through Middle, High School and College youth we also work with professionals and elders to more effectively bond them to the world through media. We Have Two Street Teams, HD in HD and ST1.

Street Team HD in HD

HD in HD (History Day in High Definition) is youth in videos asking a history question about America every Friday on the Registry’s FaceBook (FB) page. The first correct answer in the FB comment bar wins a gift card for music, literature or media from participating sponsors or retailers. All other correct answers qualify for a similar monthly Grand Prize.
HD in HD Features: Accessible Learning Through video clips, youth from all over the country ask factual questions about America’s Black experience. HD in HD is a weekly engaging, interactive space for ALL students of all ages to show their knowledge and win.

HD in HD Advantages: Interactive education with acclaim for timely study (winning)!

HD in HD Benefits: HD in HD is a constant consistent educational opportunity. Youth stimulate Registry visitors to improve their reading and research skills. This is done through a vast interest area and their investigative abilities.

HD in HD Purpose: To have young people offer:

4. Give youth a voice

Street Team ST1

ST1 is a project where African American youth ages 8 thru 18 and our elders connect with youth from other races, cultures and their elders in their community and preserve their experiences.

Features: Bonding people to recognize their value more and learn about others through video recorded dialogue.

Advantages: Bridging generational and racial gaps with honest Q&A and discussions creating relationships.

Benefits: ST1 is an educational opportunity. We instruct youth on how to improve their reading, writing and verbal skills. This is done through their research and preparation of their interviews and their presentations. They produce their story!

Purpose: The ST1 project instructs youth!
1. Life/Leadership Skills,
2. Relationship Development,
3. Reading, Writing and Oral Presentation.
