Who We Are

The African American Registry® is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit education organization established in 1999 by Benjamin Mchie.

African American Registry (the Registry) is a non-profit educational organization. Our mission is:  “Uniting Communities through Education, Transforming Communities through Learning.”  We have the most comprehensive repository of African American heritage in the world.   The Registry address the needs of America through the black experience by serving K-12 educators through our Teacher's Forum. We address the needs of young people through our Street Team program.  We (currently) produce two educational products; our wall calendar Black Heritage/365 and our ‘go fish’ card game Fishing the Registry for ages 5 and up.
